Nicole Ari Parker (born Nicole Ari Parker) is an American actress, who is employed in the fields of film, television and theatre. She's best known as Teri Joe, a fiery lawyer on the Showtime series Soul Food. In the years following her marriage, she is also known for her role as Nikki Kodjoe. Born and raised in Baltimore Maryland. In her early years as a child, she displayed an interest in acting and won the Best Actress Award in a Maryland High School Competition. In the years following her involvement in acting and in "The Washington Ballet Company", she received an acting degree at the New York University. Her first major role on screen in The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love fetched the most admiration. Movies such as Blue Streak and Boogie Nights Spark came next. Soul Food was an immensely well-loved TV show. Her appearances also appeared in TV series like Second Time Around" and Empire. In the early years of her career she performed in a variety of stage productions. Parker with a strong political interest and is married to model/actress Boris Kodjoe. The couple has two kids.

Contractor, born in Mumbai in India and grew up in Nigeria through the age of seven. She was already exposed to a lot of travel and different cultures at a very early age. After attending boarding school over seven years London the family moved to Toronto Canada where she lived for most of her youth and early adulthood. When she was in Toronto, Contractor excelled in academics and became a classical ballerina. She went to the Etobicoke School of the Arts. It's a school for arts and sciences, which allowed her to not just study theater but danced and also. At the age of 16 and after more than 10 years of dancing Contractor realized she wanted to pursue acting seriously. As soon as she finished her high school education, she was awarded an entire scholarship to University of Toronto. At the University of Toronto she completed an MA in Theatre, and also double majored with Psychology and Sociology. After a single semester at the University, Contractor went to an open audition for the play Pericles at the world-class famous, world-class Stratford Shakespeare Festival [Ontario, Canada and landed the lead role. After the show ran for 92 times, she was rewarded with glowing reviews. This play was named the best production by Canadian the critics. The conservatory at Stratford takes eight people with four females, along with a couple of additional people to take a 20 weeks crash course. Contractor's participation in the next play-season was confirmed and she got the part of Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream.
